Laura finished International Baccalaureate Diploma programme in her hometown Vilnius in Lithuania. After choosing to study abroad she graduated with BSc in Architecture from the Welsh School of Architecture, Cardiff University in the UK. Laura is interested in the relationship between people and architecture, especially in the developing regions, and she had a chance to explore that in the project about shelter after disaster housing in Kenya. Her final university project being about floating pontoon structures on the river Thames strengthened her interest in architecture that is built on water.
